Arbor Hill Barbecued Poultry Pleaser (1 1/2 cups)
- 1/4 cup oil or melted butter or margarine
- 3/4 cup
Arbor Hill Riesling Wine
- 1 clove garlic, finely minced
- 1 large onion, grated
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon celery salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/8 teaspoon dried tarragon
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
Mix all ingredients together, thoroughly. Let stand overnight. Marinate chicken or turkey in sauce several hours before broiling or barbecuing. Baste with remaining marinade during cooking. Chilled artichokes that have been cooked in boiling water with salt, garlic go beautifully with chicken or turkey barbecued with this sauce.
The menu could also include a pilaf, tossed green salad, garlic bread, and dessert combining fresh fruit with orange sherbet and
Arbor Hill Celebration Sparkling Wine.
My choice of wine to accompany this dish:
Arbor Hill Riesling Wine.
NOTE: The “Float” of Celebration, as topping for the fruit and sherbet dessert, deserves to be poured at the table, in front of guests. It’s a colorful and dramatic touch, adding flair to the dinner.
