Arbor Hill specializes in eclectic varieties worthy of attention, and Traminette is certainly among them. In 1996, Arbor Hill was the first winery in the world to produce Traminette wine, using a new hybrid grape developed over the last 30 years by Cornell University in New York State. As you can see, this new wine has been extremely well-received.

Semi-Dry Wines - American

Vergennes - This varietal white wine is a slightly fruity, crisp, and semi-dry white wine that pairs nicely with flavorful hors d'oeurves, poultry, fish and light meats. The Vergennes vine has European, or viniferous, parentage. But the grape also is part Labrusca, meaning a vine that once grew wild in North America. "This is a red grape that makes a white wine," Brahm said. “Undoubtedly the vines were cross-pollinated. This is undoubtedly why it has the character it does. Enjoy, this wonderful new wine from the old grapevine, as the Vergennes, VT history continues here in South Bristol.
